CALDP is organized and shall be operated to educate and promote the common professional interests of its members and the broader community of legal document preparers across the United States, to include the following:
(a) To improve the quality and accessibility of legal document preparers to the public;
(b) To support and enhance education and competency of legal document preparers;
(c) To promote and publicize the profession of legal document preparers;
(d) To monitor, protect, and improve the interests of the legal document preparation
profession and legal document preparers generally on local, state, and National
levels;
(e) To assure that legal document preparers that have proven their competence and
their ability to provide quality legal document preparation to the public are properly
recognized as such by the public, the profession, its regulators, third party payers,
and the government, and not excluded from or not included in programs available
to the profession and government funded entities;
(f) To establish, maintain, and recognize those that maintain high standards of
excellence in the legal document preparation field; and
(g) To do and engage in any and all activities that may be necessary, desirable, or
incidental to attainment of any or all of the foregoing purposes.
